Cocktail bars and exclusive clubs became a thing in the 80s. Many older teenagers and young adults mostly went to cocktail bars. Different dance styles also emerged in the 80s. Break Dancing was popular among most black Americans. Body popping and gymnasics (flips, ect), were part of break dancing. Body popping involved making jerky, robotic movements.

A big 'leisure trend', was fitness. People jogged, cycled, ect. Aerobics was also extreamley popular. It invloved doing a system of physical movements to stimulate circulation. Americas best selling video workout cassette was Jane Fondas Workout. People were advised to avoid fast food and smoking. Teens also went on protests to protect the planet from harmful actions.
Games and puzzles like the Rubix cube and Dungeons and Dragons were worldwide crazes that had developed during the 80s. Erno Rubik had invented the Rubiks cube, and teenagers were obsessed with trying to figure out how to solve the puzzle.

A board game called Dungeons and Dragons had also emerged in the 80s. The game had a medieval theme and an extremely
complicated dice.
